Members of the European Parliament (MEPs), in a resolution tallying 357 votes in favor, 20 against, and 58 abstentions, has condemned today the recent Iranian attack against the Israeli Occupation that took place on April 14.

The MEPs “strongly strongly condemn the recent Iranian drone and missile strikes on Israel and call on both Iran and Israel to exercise restraint and avoid further escalation,” said a press release by the European Parliament.

The parliament also denounced the “Israeli” strike on the Iranian consular annex in Damascus -which prompted the Iranian retaliatory strike- and emphasized that diplomatic and consular premises are protected by international law.

They further called on Iran to abide by its obligations according to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, known as the “Iran nuclear deal”, in addition to urging for the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) to be put on a EU list of terrorist organizations.
