The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza condemned the torture and killing of Adnan Al-Bursh, head of the Orthopedics Department at Al-Shifa Medical Complex, in “Israeli” prisons.

Gaza’s Ministry of Health said in a brief statement on Thursday that Al-Bursh was arrested along with a group of healthcare professionals while they were on duty during the aggression.

This raises the toll of martyrs in the health sector in Gaza to 492 martyrs since October 7, 2023 - according to the statement.

The Palestinian Prisoners Society (PPS) and The Commission of Detainees Affairs announced the martyrdom of two prisoners from Gaza, including doctor Adnan Ahmed Al-Bursh, head of the Orthopedics Department at Al-Shifa Hospital.

The PPS and the Commission affirmed in a statement on Thursday that the Israeli Occupation assassinated Dr. Al-Bursh after he was arrested last December while he was at Al-Awda Hospital, and he was martyred in Ofer Prison on April 19, 2024.
