An “Israeli” officer in the Military Intelligence Directorate’s Research Department has succumbed to his wounds suffered in a car-ramming operation in Ramlah earlier this month.

He is Captain Ariel Topaz, 24 years old, and was one of four soldiers who were wounded in the operation that took place on July 14.

The four were taken to a nearby hospital after suffering from injuries, two soldiers were in serious condition, another was moderately hurt, and one was lightly hurt.

The Palestinian man, from East Jerusalem, who carried out the operation, was killed at the scene by soldiers stationed near the place.
