In the first seven months of 2024, there has been a 7 percent increase in the number of registered companies in Jordan compared to the same period in 2023.

A total of 3,618 companies were registered, compared to 3,366 in 2023, marking a 19 percent increase compared to 2019.

Limited liability companies were the most frequently registered, with 2,624 such companies representing 72.2 percent of all registered companies, and with registered capital exceeding 126.5 million dinars, according to Jordan News Agency (Petra).

Additionally, the number of companies whose registrations were canceled or removed decreased by 22 percent compared to last year and by 64 percent compared to 2019, with 1,072 companies being removed since the beginning of the year.

Furthermore, 528 companies increased their capital by a total of approximately JD 299 million, while 134 companies reduced their capital by about JD 49 million, resulting in a net capital increase of approximately JD 250 million.
