Italian airline ITA Airways announced on Friday the suspension of all flights to and from Tel Aviv until August 6, citing "geopolitical developments in the Middle East." This decision reflects growing concerns over escalating tensions in the region.

This move follows a similar decision by Germany's Lufthansa Group, which has suspended its flights to Tel Aviv until August 8.

In a related development, Iran has formally informed the United Nations of its intent to carry out a retaliatory action in self-defense against Israeli Occupaion, in accordance with Article 51 of the UN Charter. This announcement comes in the wake of the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh, the head of Hamas' political bureau, in Tehran.

A report by Axios revealed that US officials have indicated that the Biden administration believes Iran may strike Tel Aviv within days as a response to Haniyeh's assassination.

Meanwhile, officials within the Israeli Occupation have confirmed that Tel Aviv is preparing for an Iranian response, which is expected to resemble the attack on April 13 earlier this year.
