Jordan’s tourism income for the first seven months of this year reached USD 4.049 billion, marking a 4.5 percent decrease compared to the same period last year. This decline is attributed to a 7.5 percent drop in tourist numbers – per a statement from the Central Bank of Jordan.
The data also revealed a decrease in tourism income from European, American, and other nationalities by 56.1 percent, 42.9 percent, and 24.5 percent, respectively.
Conversely, tourism income from expatriate Jordanians increased by 7.4 percent, and from Arab tourists by 12.7 percent.
