The High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borell said Friday he would propose sanctions against what he said are “enablers” of settler violence from the “Israeli” government, following a large-scale deadly attack on a village in the West Bank yesterday.

"The Israeli government must stop these unacceptable actions immediately," Borrell posted on X, vowing to "table a proposal for EU sanctions against violent settlers' enablers, including some Israeli government's members".

Such sanctions would require approval from the EU's 27 member states.

Yesterday, over 100 “Israeli” settlers, with roughly 50 of them masked, torched four homes and six vehicles in an invasion of the Palestinian village of Jit in the city of Qalqilya in the West Bank.

A Palestinian youth was killed and another injured by settler gunfire.
