A 2.3-magnitude earthquake struck the Kalar district in Iraq's Sulaymaniyah province, the Iraqi Meteorological Organization and Seismology reported on Tuesday.

The earthquake, which occurred in the Kalar district of Sulaymaniyah province in the Kurdistan region of northern Iraq, caused no reported casualties or damage, according to the organization.

Last Friday, a 2.5-magnitude earthquake also hit northern Iraq – 100 kilometers from Duhok province in the Kurdistan region.
