The Islamic Jihad movement confirmed the death of Mohammad Jaber, also known as Abu Shuja, the leader of the Tulkarm Battalion of the Al-Quds Brigades and one of its founding members.

Jaber, along with several members of the battalion, was killed by Israeli Occupation in Tulkarm refugee camp in the northern occupied West Bank.

The movement described Abu Shuja as a brave and resilient fighter, well-known among Palestinians for his steadfast resistance against Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF). They highlighted his belief that resisting the occupation, despite the cost, was preferable to "living under the oppression of a criminal occupation."

In a statement released Thursday, Islamic Jihad noted that Abu Shuja and his comrades engaged in heroic battles against IOF, who deployed dozens of soldiers, armored vehicles, and drones to target him within the Tulkarm camp.

The movement emphasized that Abu Shuja's death, after surviving previous assassination and arrest attempts, will serve as a beacon for resistance and strengthen the Palestinian people's resolve to continue their struggle.
