Al-Qassam Brigades announced their responsibility for the attacks on the Gush Etzion and Karmei Tzur settlements near Hebron.

The attacks, which occurred late in the evening, were described by the brigades as part of their ongoing resistance against Israeli Occupation.

The operations were carried out at 11:00 PM on Aug. 30, 2024, according to Al-Qassam Brigades' statement.

The attacks resulted in significant casualties and damage, with two martyred fighters, Muhammad Ihsan Yaqin Marqa and Zahdi Nidal Abu Afifa, carrying out the operations.

Marqa detonated a car bomb at a fuel station in Gush Etzion, aiming to draw Israeli Occupation soldiers to the site before engaging them with automatic weapons.

Among the casualties was a commander of the Etzioni Brigade.

Abu Afifa targeted Karmei Tzur, running over a guard and then opening fire on settlers before blowing up his vehicle within the settlement.

The brigades highlighted that this was the first of their martyrdom operations in Hebron, emphasizing that all areas of the West Bank would have more surprises for the Israeli Occupation.

Al-Qassam Brigades also referenced the recent attack in Tarqumiyah by martyr Muhannad Mahmoud Al-Asoud as evidence of their ongoing resistance efforts.

Al-Qassam Brigades reiterated their commitment to supporting fighters in the West Bank, providing them with necessary equipment and information, and preparing for further operations to drive the Israeli Occupation from their land.

The attacks took place during the third day of the largest “Israeli” military operation in the West Bank since 2002.

The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) and the Islamic Jihad Movement both praised the attacks, calling them heroic and noting the significant embarrassment they caused to Israeli Occupation security and political authorities.
