Three injured by gunfire in Ma’an during elections celebrations

Three people were injured this evening in the Udhruh area of Ma'an Governorate after being accidentally shot during celebrations at an election headquarters.

They were taken to Ma'an Governmental Hospital, where they are receiving treatment. The hospital's director stated that one of the injured is in serious condition. 

Security forces have opened an investigation into the incident.

Earlier, the Public Security Directorate (PSD) announced the redeployment of security forces and the reinforcement of key duty points as part of its ongoing security plan for the Parliamentary elections.

The Directorate stated that monitoring and surveillance efforts will continue, along with the ongoing reception of reports, observations, and complaints from the public.

The Directorate emphasized that actions will be followed through until all individuals found guilty of firing live ammunition are apprehended. It also warned of strict measures against obstructive and non-compliant vehicles.
