Emirati media sources reported on Sunday that the Dragon spacecraft, with Emirati astronaut Sultan Al Neyadi aboard, separated from the International Space Station, concluding a six-month mission.

He is scheduled to return to Earth on Monday, Sep. 4, 2023, at precisely 8:07 am local time in the United Arab Emirates.

Neyadi posted a tweet saying he will travel to space once again, writing: “Space, this is not a goodbye. I will see you later, whether on a new mission to the ISS or a farther destination.”

“I thank my beloved country for turning our dreams into achievements and all of you for your trust and affection. Wish us a safe return. We'll meet soon,” he added.

Salem Al Marri, Director General of the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Center, emphasized that the immediate priority upon Sultan Al Neyadi's return is to ensure his health, focusing on bone and muscle well-being.

Following arrival, Sultan Al Neyadi will spend approximately two to three weeks in an American private hospital for medical evaluation and recovery.

Adnan Al-Rayes, Director of the Zayed Foundation "2," confirmed that after separating from the lander carrying Sultan Al Neyadi and his team, the spacecraft will orbit the Earth for a specific duration before proceeding to land.
