The head of the Palestinian Prisoners and Freed Prisoners Affairs Authority, Qadura Fares, stated that the Israeli Occupation obstructs the release of Palestinian prisoners to 'thwart their joy.'

Fares told Roya Friday that the Authority has not received any signal from the Red Cross indicating the start of the exchange process and the reception of the released Palestinian prisoners.

Fares pointed out that the Palestinian resistance has ensured that the released prisoners will not be re-arrested.

Notably, at 4 pm Jerusalem time, the prisoner exchange deal came into effect.
