Two were killed, and six others were injured, in a Houthi attack that targeted an American ship in the Gulf of Aden - per the Associated Press.

This is the first attack carried out by the Houthis to result in fatalities since the group started carrying out their operations against “Israeli” ships and ships heading or dealing with the “Israel” - which they started in response to the ongoing aggression against Gaza.

The Yemen’s Houthis Spokesperson, Yahya Saree, announced that their forces carried out an operation against the American ship “True Confidence” in the Gulf of Aden, targeting it with “a number of appropriate naval missiles” - per the statement.

The missiles were accurate and led to a fire breaking out onboard the ship, adding that the “targeting operation came after the ship's crew rejected warning messages from the Yemeni naval forces.”

The Houthis said that the “Yemeni Armed Forces will continue in upholding their religious, moral and humanitarian duties in supporting the oppressed Palestinian people, and their operations in the Red and Arab Seas will not stop until the [Israeli] aggression stops and the siege on the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip is lifted.”
