Palestinian sources reported on Wednesday that the Israeli Occupation military was carrying out intense bombing raids targeting the vicinity surrounding Nasser Hospital in Khan Yunis city, located in the southern region of the Gaza Strip.

A statement from the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza said that the continuous and direct targeting of the healthcare system has led to a near-complete collapse of medical services.

Earlier in the week, the ministry had urged the evacuation of hospitals, except for critical patients, to allow medical teams to provide necessary care.

Many hospitals in Gaza are currently housing thousands of displaced individuals seeking refuge from the ongoing Israeli Occupation airstrikes and violence.

The ministry highlighted the exacerbation of the plight of the sick and injured due to the shortage of medical facilities, with hospitals already overwhelmed by displaced persons, leading to increased risks of infection among patients and refugees alike.
