The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) announced today, Sunday, the death of four of its soldiers during the ongoing battles in the Gaza Strip with Palestinian resistance.

The four soldiers were killed yesterday, Saturday, when resistance fighters came out of a tunnel in a destroyed building and opened fire at an “Israeli” patrol in a route in Khan Yunis, after which the fighters safely returned back to their positions - according to an initial IOF military probe cited by Hebrew media.

The escape route was booby-trapped and IOF soldiers were not able to pursue the fighters afterwards.

Their names are as follows:

Captain Ido Baruch, 21 years old, a commander at the Commando Brigade’s training base.

Sergeant Amitai Even Shoshan, 20 years old, of the Commando Brigade’s training base.

Sergeant Ilai Zair, 20 years old, of the Commando Brigade’s training base.

Sergeant Reef Harush, 20 years old, of the Commando Brigade’s training base.
