Israel Today, a Hebrew media outlet, reported that the War Council instructed the Israeli Occupation negotiating team to demonstrate flexibility during the Cairo talks. The aim of this directive is to present a proposal for a potential deal.

It's important to note that the Israeli Occupation government has agreed to send its delegation to Cairo for the ongoing negotiations.

Simultaneously, a Hamas delegation headed to Cairo in response to an invitation from the Egyptian government to discuss the latest developments in the Gaza ceasefire agreement.

A Hamas leadership source informed Al Jazeera of extensive communications between Ismail Haniyeh, head of the Hamas Political Bureau, and various mediators in the lead-up to the talks.

Haniyeh emphasized the need for negotiations to begin on the basis of a permanent ceasefire and stressed the importance of complete Israeli Occupation withdrawal and the return of displaced individuals without preconditions.
