Amid the prolonged Israeli Occupation aggression endured by the besieged Gaza Strip over the past six months, a viral image circulated on social media platforms purporting to depict an Israeli Occupation soldiers' wedding inside the Gaza Strip.

The photo showed a newly wed couple celebrating with comments suggesting that the image captured the wedding ceremony of "Major Yacoub Rahel and Soldier Lieutenant Maria Cohen" in Gaza, further alleging that the groom met his demise by a sniper's bullet during the event.

However, investigations revealed that the photograph originates from a wedding ceremony held in the northern occupied Palestinian territories on Oct. 12, 2023, preceding any ground invasion of Gaza.

Various Hebrew websites had previously published the image on the mentioned date, contradicting the narrative attached to it and dispelling the associated story, as reported by AFP.
