Ismail Haniyeh, the head of Hamas' political bureau, offered poignant remarks following the tragic loss of his sons and grandchildren in an Israeli Occupation bombing in Gaza during Eid al-Fitr.

"I thank God for this honor with which he honored us with the martyrdom of my three sons and some grandchildren," he told Al Jazeera.

Haniyeh added that his family never left Gaza, saying, "Nearly 60 members of my family rose as martyrs, like all the Palestinian people, and there is no difference between them."

Regarding the intent behind the attack, Haniyeh asserted, "The occupation believes that by targeting the children of leaders, it will break the resolve of our people." He countered this notion, stating, "The blood of my children is not more precious than the blood of our martyred people in Gaza. They are all my children."

Haniyeh remained resolute in his commitment to the Palestinian cause, declaring, "We will not hesitate and we will not retreat. We will continue on our way to liberate Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa." He also addressed threats of invasion, stating, "The occupation's threats to invade Rafah do not frighten our people or our resistance."

Haniyeh concluded with a firm resolve, asserting, "We will not give in and will not neglect, no matter how great our sacrifices are."
