The Jordanian Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission announced that earlier, in order to safeguard the safety and security of civil aviation in Jordanian airspace, and in light of the escalating risks in the region, and following a risk assessment conducted according to internationally recognized standards, it has decided to temporarily close Jordanian airspace as a precautionary measure to all incoming, outgoing, and transiting flights starting from 20:00 Coordinated Universal Time (UTC), which is 11:00 PM local time, for several hours to come.

This decision will be continuously reviewed and updated according to developments - the statement added.

The White House National Security Council Spokesperson Adrienne Watson confirmed earlier that Iran has begun an airborne attack against the Israeli Occupation that will unfold over a number of hours - per statements cited by Axios.

President Joe Biden is being regularly updated on the situation by his national security team and will meet with them this afternoon at the White House - and will hold a meeting with Secretaries of Defense and State, CIA Director, and National Security Advisor.

Watson added that Biden’s team is in constant communication with “Israeli” officials as well as other partners and allies.

“The US support for Israel is ironclad,” Watson added, “the United States will stand with the people of Israel and support their defense against these threats from Iran.”
