The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) claimed today that food aid sent by the World Food Programme (WFP) has entered the Gaza Strip after arriving in the Port of Ashdod for the first time since the port was opened.

Eight WFP trucks of flour have entered the Gaza Strip through the Kerem Shalom Border Crossing after undergoing security inspections - the IOF further claimed.

Estimates indicate that around 800 trucks of aid need to enter the Gaza Strip daily to alleviate the dire humanitarian situation caused by the “Israeli” army aggression against the Strip and the systematic starvation policy forced upon Palestinians.

The Israeli Occupation was forced to reopen border crossings it had closed at an earlier time after killing seven aid workers from the World Central Kitchen (WCK) after targeting their vehicle in an incident that sparked worldwide condemnation and international pressures.
