The Grand Criminal Court sentenced a man in his thirties to 20 years in prison for fatally stabbing his brother during a dispute over a JD 10 loan.
The court found him guilty of premeditated murder but not responsible for carrying a weapon.
The incident occurred in their shared apartment in Amman, where an argument escalated into a physical fight involving a mirror.
The accused struck his brother with the mirror frame, bit him, and then stabbed him five times with a kitchen knife.
He left his brother bleeding out and fled the scene, leaving the weapon behind, and called his mother and coworker for help.
Upon returning to the apartment, the victim was dead.
Police and prosecutors investigated the crime scene, examining both the body and the surroundings.
