The spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate announced that the Anti-Narcotics Department has addressed six distinct cases across various regions of Jordan, resulting in the arrest of seven individuals involved in drug dealing and smuggling.

One significant case unfolded in Ramtha District, where an investigative team apprehended two individuals storing a substantial quantity of narcotic pills for smuggling or distribution within the country.

Following surveillance and confirmation of information, the team conducted a successful ambush, leading to the arrest of the suspects and the confiscation of nearly half a million narcotic pills.

In Mafraq Governorate, intelligence led to the arrest of an Arab national, a cargo vehicle driver, found concealing 120,000 narcotic pills within the vehicle. Similarly, a drug dealer in the same governorate was apprehended with 20 handfuls of narcotic hashish.

In Karak Governorate, authorities arrested a dealer with 3,000 narcotic pills and a quantity of hashish, while in Ma’an Governorate, a drug dealer was apprehended with 7,000 narcotic pills and hashish.

Furthermore, in a region of West Balqa, law enforcement detained an individual flagged as dangerous for cultivating narcotic marijuana seedlings, leading to the seizure of the illicit plants. All suspects have been referred to the Public Prosecutor of the State Security Court.
