Pop singer Justin Timberlake was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated in Sag Harbor, located on New York's Long Island, authorities confirmed.

According to a law enforcement official who spoke to ABC News, Timberlake is set to appear in court on Tuesday to address the charges.

Timberlake's arrest comes amidst his busy schedule, with two concerts scheduled in Chicago this coming weekend, followed by two shows at New York City's Madison Square Garden next week.

Court documents noted that Timberlake's eyes were "bloodshot and glassy" when he was pulled over by police.

"A strong odor of an alcoholic beverage was emanating from his breath," the documents continued. "He was unable to divide attention, he had slowed speech, he was unsteady afoot and he performed poorly on all standardized field sobriety tests."

Timberlake informed officers that he had one martini and was following some friends home. After being arrested and taken to a police station in nearby East Hampton, he refused to take a breathalyzer test.

The Sag Harbor Police Department released his mugshot late Tuesday.
