Hebrew news outlet “Walla!” reported that the “Israeli” military has raised its alert level to the highest degree on land, in the air, and at sea, preparing for a potential offensive on Lebanon in the event of escalation.

On Friday evening, a series of “Israeli” airstrikes targeted Hezbollah’s command center in the southern suburbs of Beirut.

According to the Lebanese Ministry of Health, initial reports indicate that the strikes, which hit a densely populated area known as the “security square” for Hezbollah's leadership—heavily guarded—resulted in two fatalities and 76 injuries.

The ministry anticipated that the death toll might rise as debris continues to be cleared.

The “Israeli” bombardment on Beirut’s western suburbs, known for its high population density, completely destroyed six buildings, according to a source close to Hezbollah, marking one of the most intense assaults on the group since 2006.

“Israeli” military spokesperson Daniel Hagari stated that the army "carried out a targeted strike on Hezbollah's central headquarters in the southern suburbs."
