Wagner Chief Yevgeny Prigozhin will move to Belarus as part of a deal brokered by Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko to diffuse tension between his army and Russia’s military leadership, as announced by Kremlin Saturday night.

Kremlin's spokesperson Dmitry Peskov added that the criminal case against Prigozhin will be dropped.

He explained that Lukashenko had offered to mediate, after Russian President Vladimir Putin agreed, since he has known Prigozhin personally for approximately two decades.

According to the AFP, the Kremlin also said the crisis would not affect the Russian-Ukranian war.

Peskov said it was "out of the question" that Wagner's aborted rebellion would impact Russia's campaign against Kyiv.
