Amidst the ongoing heat wave impacting Jordan, the Civil Defense Directorate (CDD) has heightened its operational and field readiness.

The Director of Civil Defense Operations Firas Abu Al-Sondos highlighted that this proactive measure aims to deliver essential humanitarian assistance and ensure optimal protection, adhering to the highest standards of readiness.

The goal is to efficiently respond to incoming reports and emergent situations.

Abu Sondos emphasized that the CDD has elevated the readiness of its mechanisms, equipment, and well-trained staff, placing all available resources on standby.

The CDD has strategically positioned specialized firefighting equipment in proximity to forested areas, bolstering rapid response capabilities.

Specialized teams have also been deployed to ensure swift and effective intervention.

In addition, the CDD has activated diving units near water bodies, staffed with trained divers and equipped with specialized gear.

This comprehensive approach reinforces the CDD's commitment to safeguarding public safety during the heat wave.
