Public sector employees in Jordan are eagerly anticipating the bustling month of June, filled with official holidays. The total number of holiday days will be 15 for those working in the public sector, while some private sectors will enjoy 10 days.

These holidays coincide with important national and religious occasions, including His Majesty King Abdullah II’s accession to the throne and His Silver Jubilee and Eid al-Fitr.

June begins with the usual weekend breaks, where Fridays and Saturdays are both given as official holidays for public sector employees.

There will be nine Fridays and Saturdays during this month. Additionally, five days of holiday for Eid al-Fitr are added, officially set from Sunday morning, June 16, until Thursday evening, June 20, 2024.

Furthermore, June 9 is an official holiday to mark the 25th anniversary of His Majesty’s the His Majesty King Abdullah II’s accession to the Throne, which ups the total holidays for the month of June in Jordan to 15.
