Jordanians across the Kingdom performed Eid al-Adha prayers on Sunday, the 10th of Dhu al-Hijjah, 1445 AH, corresponding to June 16, 2024, at 7:00 AM.

Large crowds of worshippers gathered at mosques and designated prayer grounds, chanting the Eid takbeers. Dressed in new Eid clothes, the worshippers expressed their joy at this significant religious occasion, exchanging greetings and blessings, and praying for the acceptance of their good deeds and for blessings and prosperity.

Jordanians also prayed for the people of Gaza, asking God to lift the ongoing “Israeli” aggression, grant them victory and relief, and provide them with strength and patience to face the onslaught.

The Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs announced the locations and names of the Eid prayer sites across the Kingdom, publishing the information on its website, along with the names of the preachers in each governorate.

From early morning, Jordanians flocked to the announced prayer sites and mosques, creating an atmosphere of joy and celebration. The prayer grounds saw a significant turnout, including many children dressed in their finest attire to celebrate Eid al-Adha.

After the prayers, citizens performed the ritual of sacrificing animals and distributed the meat to family, friends, and the needy, following the tradition of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

On this occasion, many Jordanians visited each other to exchange greetings and gifts, expressing their happiness through social interactions and strengthening family bonds.
