More than 40,000 worshippers performed Eid al-Adha prayers at the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem on Sunday, despite “Israeli” restrictions and assaults on the worshippers.

The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) attacked worshippers on their way to Al-Aqsa Mosque and as they were leaving, preventing dozens from entering to perform the Eid prayer.

The Islamic Waqf in Jerusalem reported that over 40,000 worshippers attended the Eid prayer, despite the stringent lockdown imposed on worshippers and the prevention of thousands from entering.

Local sources indicated that early in the morning, the IOF stormed the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque, checked the IDs of those inside, disrupted the movement of worshippers, and barred a large number of young men from entering, forcing them to pray outside the gates.
