The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) said today that a daily “tactical pause of military activity” will take place in areas in south Gaza to enable humanitarian aid to be delivered to Palestinians – according to a statement.

The pause will take place between 8:00 AM and 7:00 PM every day on a road from Kerem Shalom Border Crossing to Salad ad-Din road, and then north towards Khan Younis.

“This is an additional step in the humanitarian aid efforts that have been conducted by the IDF and COGAT since the beginning of the war,” the IOF said in a statement.

“The IDF will continue to support humanitarian efforts on the ground,” it further claimed.

Avichay Adraee, the head of the Arab media division of the IOF Spokesperson's Unit, said that there is no ceasefire in south Gaza and that fighting will Rafah continues, adding that the route for transporting goods and aid will be open during “daylight hours in cooperation with international organizations solely for the passage of humanitarian aid.”
