Iraqi factions have issued a statement threatening to attack US interests in Iraq and the region if the Israeli Occupation launches a full-scale war on Lebanon. This declaration followed a meeting of an Iranian-backed Iraqi militia known as the "Iraqi Resistance Coordination Committee," which convened to discuss threats of a comprehensive war by the Israeli Occupation against Lebanon and Hezbollah.

The statement highlighted that the intensity and quality of operations against US interests in Iraq and the region would escalate, making these interests legitimate targets for resistance elements.

Furthermore, the committee criticized the Aqaba-Basra oil pipeline, describing it as a significant financial drain on Iraq with no economic benefits. They viewed the project as a step towards normalizing relations between Iraq and the Israeli Occupation.

Since the start of the Gaza war on October 7, Hezbollah and the Israeli Occupation have been exchanging fire across Lebanon's southern border almost daily. The tension has escalated in recent days, raising fears of a broader conflict that could spark regional warfare.

The ongoing violence for more than eight months between Hezbollah and the Israeli Occupation forces has resulted in at least 482 deaths in Lebanon, most of whom were Hezbollah fighters and 94 civilians, according to a tally by Agence France-Presse (AFP).

On the "Israeli" side, at least 15 soldiers and 11 civilians have been killed, according to "Israeli" authorities.
