The Central Bank of Jordan has warned citizens to avoid engaging with unlicensed institutions to prevent falling victim to fraud.

On Wednesday, the bank urged "citizens to refrain from dealing with any unlicensed institution to avoid potential risks such as fraud."

It added that for obtaining any financial product or service, individuals should only approach banks or financial institutions licensed by the Central Bank of Jordan.

The Central Bank also encouraged citizens to check the list of operating banks and licensed financial institutions on its official website.
