The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Major General Yousef Ahmed Al-Hunaiti, observed the "Lion's Roar" tactical exercise carried out by the Princess Alia Mechanized Brigade/48, part of the Northern Military Region – per a statement by the Jordanian Armed Forces (JAF).

Major General Al-Hunaiti received military briefings from those overseeing the exercise, which took place at the designated training grounds in Qasr Tuba.

These briefings included the stages of collective training for the brigade's personnel and its attached support weapons, built on scenarios that simulate expected situations.

The aim was to train at various operational, logistical, and training levels, including planning, coordination, and execution, to achieve the desired objectives under conditions similar to real operations – according to the statement.

The exercise, which included participation from the Northern Military Region’s women's company and the Royal Jordanian Air Force (RJAF), featured small group defensive maneuvers, engineering demolitions, and firing from various light and medium weapons, Javelin missiles, RPGs, artillery, and mortars.

The exercise was supported by F16 fighter jets, helicopters, and reconnaissance aircraft. The participants demonstrated outstanding proficiency and accuracy in hitting targets.

This exercise, attended by several senior officers of the Jordan Armed Forces - Arab Army, is part of the annual training programs conducted by the armed forces to achieve the highest levels of efficiency, readiness, and combat preparedness among its members.
