Hamas responded to a video circulating in Hebrew media of female soldiers being captured on October 7, stating the video is edited and manipulated, making its authenticity uncertain.

Hamas claimed the video's release is part of the Israeli Occupation’s ongoing attempts to distort the image of Palestinian resistance by spreading fabricated stories, which have been debunked by multiple investigations.

They explained the video shows female soldiers at a military site captured during their duty in the Gaza Division command. The soldiers appeared in civilian clothes because they were on a break, as the attack occurred early on Saturday, October 7, their day off.

Hamas asserted the video was deliberately edited to support the occupation's false allegations of assaulting female soldiers.

They pointed out that the clips contain deliberate distortions and manipulation in the English translation, fabricating words not spoken by any fighters in the video, proving the falsity of the Zionist narrative.

Hamas clarified that minor injuries or traces of blood on some soldiers are expected in such operations. The footage showed no physical assault, only a dialogue between the fighters and the soldiers without any violence.

They emphasized that the female soldiers were treated according to the ethical standards of the resistance, with no proven mistreatment, despite their involvement in killing hundreds of peaceful Palestinian demonstrators at the Gaza border.

Hamas highlighted that all recent exchange operation footage confirmed the humane treatment received by the soldiers under resistance in Gaza, contrasting with the oppression, abuse, and killings faced by Palestinian prisoners in Israeli Occupation jails.
