The Jordan Food and Drug Administration (JFDA) conducted intensive inspections in Irbid to ensure food safety during Eid al-Adha. During over 40 field inspections, the JFDA shut down two facilities and issued warnings to 35 others for safety violations.

The JFDA also destroyed quantities of food found unfit for human consumption. These measures aimed to ensure the safety of food provided to consumers in Irbid, especially during religious holidays when food demand increases.
